Mobile camps
Anderson's mobile safaris offer a level of comfort in between traditional camping and
staying in lodges or tented camps. Apart from the form of accommodation, the mobile
safaris are the same standard and quality as Anderson's lodge and tent safaris.
The camp
The size of the camps varies with the size of the group. Each tent has full-size beds
for two persons, camp chairs, coffee table, rechargeable lights, complimentary water
and a wash basin outside. Each tent has a separate shower and toilet tent, set in small
tents in the background for privacy.
In addition to the guest tents, there is a well ventilated mess tent with a fully stocked
bar where all meals are served, staff tents and the place where we keep a bonfire at
night for relaxation and unwinding from the days excitment.

The staff and camp services
Like in any lodge or tented camp, the staff provides the services you need for a comfortable
stay. The staff handles meals, the bar, water for showers and washbasins, security,
etc.
As the camps are lightweight and self-supporting, all services are by necessity bush
style to some degree. We still have a wide selection of imported wines, spirits, beers
and of course juices and soft drinks, all chilled to perfection, and serve nicely cooked
brekfasts, lunches and dinners prepared by our camp chef. Special requests as to meals
and beverages are catered for, if specified in advance.
The camps have refrigerators, first-aid equipment, battery charging facilities, communications
by radio or mobile phone, etc.
Exclusive camp sites
The big difference from staying in lodges or tented camps is the wilderness setting.
The mobile camps are set in the middle of the bush, and are not fenced. The sites are
for exclusive use there are no other camps or groups in that site.
The mobile camps also allow for stays in areas that lack lodges and tented camps.
Transports
You as a client always travel independantly in your safari jeep, while the camp equipment
and camp staff are transported by a separate vehicle. For small groups we use one of
our pickups with a trailer, and for larger groups our 4WD truck. This ensures that the
camp is all set and ready when you arrive to enjoy our true bush hospitality.
